But apart from that, it is surrounded by walls covered with aluminum wires and glass on all four sides. It is also used by players with this wall.
- Unlike tennis, the players in the padel are in pairs. While this is optional in normal tennis, it is needed in padel.
- The type of racket used for padel is also different. The racket has an elastic surface with holes. Strands are absent and short. However, the air pressure of the ball used is slightly less than in normal tennis.
Differences of Padel Court and Tennis Court
Before the padel court (paddle court) construction, it is important to know dimensions. Padel courts are rectangular. The required area for a padel course is 20 m. x 10 m. It is one-third the size of a tennis court. It is 32ft 8in (10 meters) wide and 65ft 7in (20 meters) long, enclosed by solid walls (fully on the ends, partially on the sides). The playing field is divided into two by a net with a height of 34,6in in the center (88cm) and 36in at the sides (92cm).The same ground and net are used as tennis. The side walls of the court (glass) are 3 meters and the back walls (glass) are 4 meters. Two international sized padel courts can easily be set up within the full-size tennis court area. Courts can be built outdoors or indoors according to the same criteria as tennis courts.
If we examine the tennis courts, we can say that it is 23.77m long and 8.23m wide. For doubles matches the court is 10.97m wide. It is seen that the court is divided into two equal areas by a net suspended by a cord or metal cable attached to two net posts.
